Richard DeSorghmr, Brian Hyde, Rosemary Burns Love, Nancy <br /> Soderberg, and Brian VVeednn. <br /> Commissioner not Present: Joan Tavares-Avant <br /> Ava notified the Commissioners that the meeting was being recorded for transcription purposes only. <br /> Brian Hyde proposed that the Minutes from July 81h meeting be approved, and it was seconded by <br /> Rosemary, and they were approved unanimously. <br /> War Memorial Monument <br /> VVo are in need of additional funding to proceed with the War Memorial Project. Avo and Richard will <br /> meet again with Wayne Taylor to follow-up on how properly to obtain the necessary funds. Catherine is <br /> putting the work out for bids, and she expects to have something to report soon. Richard reminded Brian <br /> Weeden that we hoped to have an art object to represent the Wampanoag veterans. Richard informed ua <br /> that there ino proposal for six honor or memorial benches which cost$2.0O8 each, and vveprobably <br /> should publicize that no interested parties will be able to purchase one. <br /> Poraonnoge <br /> Rosemary presented her research that she has been working on pertaining to the building. Rosemary <br /> stressed that vve should proceed with the dating of the building. Richard has contacted e firm who would <br /> be able to do the dendrochronology, but the costs would be considerably less if more than one building <br /> was tested, novve may consider doing the Indian Museum oswell. Ava had asked if the Meeting House <br /> was dated when it was rebuilt in 2008, but Rosemary said she had asked about it at the time and was told <br /> that it would bo too expensive todo. Brian VVeeden informed ua that the Tribe is working onstabilizing <br /> the building. The Tribe is working on trying to match the CPC funds that have been held for repair of the <br /> Pereonnage. <br /> List of Town Clerks <br /> Nancy io working ono list for Debi Domiof all yWaohpee Town Clerks. Rosemary told her to look inthe <br /> District Meetings book aato records kept from 183O. |n1834vve became a District, and then became o <br /> Town in1870. Rosemary informed us that all the meetings were recorded from 1830 to 1884, and the <br /> first thing they did was to name a o|orh. Nancy will provide all the information we have to Debi Danoivvho <br /> appears tobeyWanhpee's longest serving Town Clerk. Rosemary feels that vve have o list of every officer <br />
