Minutes Mashpee Waterways Commission <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> Date: 9/14/2021 <br /> Minutes: <br /> Chairman Ken Bates convened the meeting at 9:00am in the Waquoit Meeting Room <br /> Attendees: Ken Bates, Don MacDonald, Tim Leedham, Dick Noonan. Also present: Jeff Smith <br /> Absent: Steve Mone, Gregg Fraser, All Wickel <br /> Minutes: <br /> The Following minutes were approved: The regular session of Tuesday August 10, 2021 <br /> Motion to Approve was made by Don McDonald and seconded by Tim Leedham with the <br /> minor correction to the minutes noting that Don MacDonald was both present and absent. Don <br /> was present and the correction was made, striking out the notation under absent, initialed by <br /> Dick Noonan and the Motion was unanimously approved by all those present. <br /> Appointments &Information Sessions: <br /> Jeff reported that the Ockway Bay ramp replacement project looks to be straight forward. <br /> There are no navigational issues seen. The project will commence once Chapter 90 approval is <br /> received. <br /> Communications &Correspondence: <br /> Dick Noonan reported that 5 applications for waterfront projects were received: <br /> - 664 Great Neck Rd South: Remove old pier and reconstruct new pier and ramp <br /> - 38 Quail Hollow Rd: Install seasonal pier <br /> - 140 Popponesset Island Rd: Remove old pier and construct new pier, ramp and float <br /> - 43 Little Neck Lane: remove old pier and install a new pier <br /> NLl 1 11 Traffrail Way: Repair existing sea wall <br /> j e�r reported that he had reviewed all submitted packages and found no issues relative <br /> to navigation. <br /> Dick Noonan reported that he had received email correspondence from a resident relative to <br /> dredging needs at the entrance to Hamblin Pond. He and Ken will review and draft a response. <br /> Old Business: <br /> Harbormaster Report: Jeff reported that August was a good month. No navigational issues to <br /> deal with. He has updated the Harbormaster's web site with dredging information that has <br /> been provided by the County. Jeff noted that the information is very useful'. <br /> All winter sticks are now in house and they will begin prepping them for deployment at the end <br /> of season. There will be red and green sticks for all buoys. The office is also getting quotes for <br /> buoy replacement commencing in the spring. Included will also be the buoys required for the <br /> new "No Wake" buoys and the "No Swim" zone for Mashpee/Wakeby Lake. Jeff noted that all <br /> buoys and chain are currently on back order. This is the last year of their 3 year replacement <br /> plan. <br />
