No.: 119704 <br /> 9 Shellback Way (Map 81 Parcel 132) <br /> Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> A Petition was filed on June 21,2019 by Petitioner,Bridgestone Development,Inc. <br /> requests Variance relief under §174-31 IN. 14 (natural state buffer), to allow for <br /> construction of a 9,801 sq. ft. commercial building and accessory parking to be used for <br /> professional and medical office uses on property located in a C-1 Zoning District,(Map 81 <br /> Parcel 132), Mashpee, MA. (Owner of record: Faith J. Baptiste, Trustee of the Cushman <br /> Brownie Trust). <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on June 28, 2019 and July 5, 2019 a copy of <br /> which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §10 and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> On July 24,2019,the Board opened and heard testimony by Attorney Kirrane who <br /> represented the Petitioner, Michael Facchini, of Bridgestone Development, Inc. for the <br /> proposed project. Also present was Matt Costa, with Cape & Islands Engineering. The <br /> Board wanted clarification on questions raised by the residents of Shellback Way regarding <br /> the ownership of the road,and conditional requests submitted by Stephen Carroll, Sr. Vice <br /> President of Rockland Trust. The Board also wanted clarification regarding the timeline of <br /> the Mass State DOT curb-cut request,and the natural landscape buffer submitted under the <br /> Variance application. As a result,the hearings were continued until August 28, 2019. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at which time the following members of the Board of <br /> Appeals were present and acting throughout;Chairman,Jonathan Furbush,Vice Chairman, <br /> William Blaisdell, Board Member, Scott Goldstein, and Associate Members, Sharon <br /> Sangeleer, and James Reiffarth. <br /> 1 <br />
