Review of Compliance—545 Cotuit Road. Mr, Harrington recommended that,at the May 6,2021 <br /> Board of Health meeting, the Board voted to require that a building permit be requested within <br /> 10 days of receipt of the order. On May 12,2021,the letter was mailed and emailed,and received <br /> by Certified Mail on May 17, 2021. May 27th marked the 10-day deadline after receipt of the <br /> order letter. The last two communications with the owner did not show any progress;therefore, <br /> the matter was put back on the agenda. Attorney Rob Mills, Esq. is now helping the owner to <br /> make some progress. The last update from the owner was received today stating that she will <br /> not be able to attend the meeting because she is working. The owner emailed that the <br /> construction supervisor is scheduled to go to the property tomorrow and submit a building permit <br /> next week. <br /> Mr.Virgilio expressed his opinion that it is difficult to get a permit in this Town, due to Town Hall <br /> being closed and the challenges of the online permitting system. The cost and availability of <br /> building supplies was also discussed. Mr. Harrington stated that it was his intention to send the <br /> owner a formal order notice, so the Board will have the right to condemn the basement or that <br /> portion of the dwelling should they determine that is necessary. <br /> There being no further comments or discussion, Ernest Virgilio moved to continue the matter of <br /> compliance at 545 Cotuit Road until the next meeting on July 17,2021 meeting. Motion seconded <br /> by Kripani Patel. Roll call vote: Ernest Virgilio (yes); Kripani Patel (yes); Brian Baumgaertel (yes). <br /> VOTE: Unanimous (3-0). <br /> 2. COVID-19 Update. Mr. Harrington commented that, on Wednesday, June 16th, Governor Baker <br /> signed a bill that was approved by the Senate and House, which extends the following pandemic- <br /> era policies: <br /> 1 <br />
