Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general
circulation in the Town of Mashpee,on December 13,2019 and December 20,2019 a copy
of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof.'
The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this.Decision pursuant to the provisions of
Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §9 and the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws.
Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on Wednesday,
January 8,2020 at which time the following members of the Board of Appeals were present
and acting throughout; Chairman, Jonathan Furbush, Vice Chairman, William Blaisdell,
Board Members, Ron Bonvie, Scott Goldstein, and Associate Member, James Reiffarth.
Attorney Kevin Kirrane represents Richard McCracken, Manager of 73 Mercantile Way.
Also present were representatives from Down Cape Engineering, and Cape Wide
Construction. This project was before the Board and approved for constructing a boat
storage building. The original site plan submitted highlights the building that was
approved. The Board also.authorized the use of outside storage spaces on the left hand side
of the site. The proposal is to construct another building on the site for the exact same
purposes as the existing building. The proposed building will consist of 9,952 sq. ft., and
it is contemplated that the building will be divided into twelve separate condominium boat
storage units. The previous building was divided into 15 units, however some of those units
were subsequently combined, so there are only 10 actual units that are being occupied in
that building. The units for the proposed building are slightly larger because there is a
demand for larger boat storage units.
1
