Minutes Mashpee Waterways Commission <br />Mashpee Town Hall <br />16 Great Neck Road North <br />Mashpee, MA 02649 <br />Date: 10/12/2021 <br />Chairman Ken Bates convened the meeting at 9:OOam in the Waquoit Meeting Room <br />Attendees: Ken Bates, Gregg Fraser, Tim Leedham, Dick Noonan. Also present: Jeff Smith <br />Absent: Steve Mone, Al Wickel, Don MacDonald <br />Minutes: <br />The Following minutes were approved: The regular session of Tuesday September 14, 2021. <br />Motion to Approve: made by Tim Leedham and seconded by Gregg Fraser. <br />It was noted on the notes that under Communications & Correspondence that Jeff Smith's <br />name was incorrectly noted as Jeff Fisher. The mistake was corrected and initialed by the <br />Secretary. Once the correction was made the minutes were unanimously approved by all <br />present. <br />Apuointments & Information Sessions: <br />Communications & Correspondence: <br />Dick Noonan reported that 3 applications for waterfront projects were received: <br />- 338 Monomoscoy Road: remove and replace existing floats <br />- 254 Monomoscoy Road: remove existing piers and replace, remove and replace existing <br />bulkhead and rebuild section of existing marine railway. <br />- 27 Sand Dollar Lane: remove existing pier, Jet ski float and existing ramp. Construct new <br />pier and ramp structure. <br />Dick and Ken also reported on the correspondence that took place between Don Barton and <br />the Commission regarding dredging for Hamblin pond. The email exchange will be sent to all <br />attendees as an FYI. Also noted was a follow up letter by Don Barton regarding dredge <br />projects in general. A response to his second letter will be forthcoming. <br />Old Business: <br />Harbormaster Report: Jeff reports that he is winding down from the summer season. They are <br />pulling lights off buoys; plan to begin removing all aids to navigation next week and installing <br />winter sticks. All boats except for the one safety boat have been pulled and a maintenance <br />schedule is be implemented. By the end of the month all seasonal employees will be off the <br />payroll. Lastly, Jeff reported that he has reviewed all pertinent warrants to be presented at the <br />Town Meeting. <br />
