DNR Director/Shellfish Constable Report: No Report <br />Committee Reports: <br />MashpeelWakeby and John's Pond and fresh waters: No Report <br />Popponesset Bay Area: There was an update provided on the status of the County dredging <br />activities by Ken. Jeff stated that he is in frequent contact with the County on all pertinent <br />issues relative to the dredging activity. <br />Waquoit Bay Area: No Report <br />Water Quality: No Report <br />Barnstable County Coastal Resources: Ken reported that the Popponesset Bay dredging <br />project began 10/12 with the Inner Channel. Once that is finished the dredging of the 1916 <br />channel will commence. Ken also reported that they were able to successfully find and identify <br />a telephone cable that was laid across the bay years ago by New England Telephone. The <br />cable is inactive and is not a hazard to navigation but can become an issue for dredging <br />equipment if not found. <br />Sewer Commission: No Report <br />Public Access: Ken read to the Commission the written report provided by Catherine Laurent <br />on the status of the Ockway Bay Boat Ramp reconstruction. The essence of the report being <br />that the RFP for the project was released on 10/6. Bids are due by 10/21 with the award <br />approved at the BOS meeting on 11/1. The date for final completion of the project is by 6/15. <br />The report noted that the Boat Ramp will be closed for the entirety of the construction period. <br />Notwithstanding the above it was noted in the report that the DPW is still waiting for comment <br />on the project from DMF so that Conservation can issue the OOC. Once those items <br />completed the project can commence after the expiration of the appeal period. <br />Waterways Improvement Plans: No Report <br />LGIGR Expansion Project: Dick reiterated that we are in the process of filing the NOI. It <br />should be completed by the end of the month. <br />New Business: <br />None <br />Additional Topics: <br />None <br />
