E <br />Mashpee Select Board <br />Minutes <br />November 1, 2021 <br />ADDITIONAL TOPICS <br />November Roundtable Discussion: Wastewater: <br />Motion made by Selectman O'Hara to place the above referenced topic on the Select Board's agenda. <br />Motion seconded by Selectman Weeden. <br />VOTE: Unanimous. 5-0. <br />Roll Call Vote: <br />Selectman Sherman, yes Selectman Weeden, yes Selectman Gottlieb, yes <br />Selectman Cotton, yes Selectman O'Hara, yes Opposed, none <br />The Select Board is scheduled to meet with the Conservation Commission, the Board of Health, Planning <br />Board, Sewer Commission and Director of Natural Resources to review the matter of Wastewater Management <br />and Water Quality. <br />It was requested the group discussion encompass an overview of the Wastewater Management Plan, and data <br />relative to the conditions of water quality in the ponds and bays as well as a report and data from the Board of <br />Health on regulations pertaining to septic systems and cesspools, enforcement authorities and strategies. <br />LIAISON REPORTS <br />Sewer Commission: The Sewer Commission has been active and is currently planning to hold a workshop <br />session with the Summerwood Condominium Association on November 9, 2021. <br />Mashpee Chamber: The Chamber of Commerce will be delivering Thanksgiving dinners to homebound <br />individuals. Several businesses in Mashpee will be sponsoring the meal and its preparation with deliveries by <br />volunteers on Wednesday, November 24, 2021. Orders can be placed through the Chamber by calling 508- <br />477-0792. <br />Mashpee Holiday Parade: The Annual Holiday Parade will be held on December 11, 2021 starting at 5:30 <br />p.m. (rain date 12/12/21) Floats can be registered until December 4, 2021. <br />TOWN MANAGER UPDATES <br />COVID Update: One new positive case has been reported, with 15 current. The total count is 1147. <br />Roundtable Discussion: Joint Meetings will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 and on Monday December <br />13, 2021. Wastewater Management and Water Quality will begin discussions. <br />Safe Trails Taskforce: The Mashpee Police Department will be participating in a Safe Trails Taskforce consisting of <br />the FBI, the Mashpee Tribe, and several Off Cape towns to gain a clear understanding of roles and <br />responsibilities at a time of vital need. Respective legal counsels have fully vetted this undertaking. The Chief of <br />Police is authorized to execute the taskforce agreement on behalf of the Town of Mashpee. <br />Mashpee Harbor Management Grant Application: The Town is moving forward with the Mashpee Harbor <br />Management Grant Application soliciting letters of support for this initiative. <br />MTV Annual Report: The MTV Annual Report is expected to be submitted within 30 days after the contract <br />with Comcast has been settled. Comcast is the current cable television licensee. <br />CFL Litigation: Regarding the Conservation Law Foundation (CLF) action, it was disclosed the Town of Mashpee <br />has been served on this date. <br />
