Nichols
Attendees: Members: Donald MacDonald, Paul Bibo, Barbara Nichols, Mike Rapacz
Guests: Ashley Fisher DNR, Karen McGrath, Sam Fischer, Vivian Sun,
Meredith Harris. Arden Russell
The minutes of the September 28, 2021 meeting were accepted as written after a motion by Mike Rapacz
and second by Paul Bibo.
Agenda topics
[Agenda topic 1] Lake level/River outflow
Discussion: Measurements were taken by Debi McManus on September 29"' and October 151". They
were 55.5 and 54.5 Ft. above sea level. There were 16 and 13.5 inches of water flowing over the board
closest to the lake, and 15.5 and 16 inches of water in the stream by the stairs. From mid-September to
mid-October, there were 11.7 inches of rain in Barbara's rain gauge. Levels were reported to Drew
McManus in Conservation. Drew emailed on October 16"' after we reported a level of 55.5 asking if he
should remove aboard or just watch the level closely. By then, the level had dropped so we are just
closely monitoring the level. Precipitation is increasing again.
Conclusions: With high precipitation, the lake levels are higher than usual for this time of year.
[Agenda topic 2] Boat Ramp Repair
Discussion: Scraping at the ramp with a long excavator is complete. The funding from the State is not
available at this time, although the ramp remains on their list for repair.
Conclusions: Scraping of the ramp is complete. Job not completed as State funding not available.
