5
Community Preservation Committee
Minutes
June 24, 2021
NEW BUSINESS
Discussion and Vote of Articles proposed for October 2021 Town Meeting Warrant: (continued)
It is estimated the Town of Mashpee Community Preservation Committee may receive a 32.3%
state match. This estimate is slightly higher than past years. There is also a decrease in the CPA
from 3%to 2%to provide assistance to the WIIF program.
By a recommended vote, the 3% CPA surcharge imposed on real property was reduced by 1% at
the June 15, 2020 Town Meeting. The reduction will take effect in Fiscal Year 2022, effective
July 1, 2021.
The Municipal Water Infrastructure Investment Fund(WIIF), a 2% surcharge is also effective on
July 1, 2021 for Fisal Year 2022.
The new calculations as referenced above will be included in the estimated tax billing cycle.
Of note is the debt of the CPC from previous Land Bank purchases which expire in 2026. This
will support the offset of the 1%reduction.
Application: Ockway Bay Boat Ramp Improvement Project Phase III:
Previously approved at this meeting.
NEXT MEETING
May 2022 Funding Round: Applications for funding consideration at the May 2022 Special
Town Meeting are due on November 1, 2021.
