4 <br /> Community Preservation Committee <br /> Minutes <br /> June 24, 2021 <br /> NEW BUSINESS <br /> Consideration of Application of Arden Cadrin for membership to fill At-Large Vacancy. <br /> Arden R. Cadrin met with members of the Community Preservation Committee to discuss her <br /> interest in membership. Ms. Cadrin is a 30-year resident of the Town of Mashpee and has <br /> considerable experience working in the local affordable housing field most recently serving as <br /> the Housing Coordinator for the Town of Barnstable. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Larkin to recommend Arden Cadrin to the Board of Selectmen for <br /> appointment to the Community Preservation Committee as an At-Large member. <br /> Motion seconded by Mr. Smith. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 8-0. <br /> Roll Call Vote: <br /> Mr. Gottlieb, yes Mrs. Thayer, yes Mr. Hyde,yes Mr. Larkin, yes <br /> Ms.Waygan, yes Mr. Smith, yes Ms. Barbee, yes Mr. Shackett,yes <br /> Opposed, none <br /> Discussion and Vote of Articles proposed for October 2021 Town Meeting Warrant: <br /> The deadline for the submission of articles for the October 2021 Town Meeting is Monday, <br /> July 12, 2021. <br /> Annual Article to set aside 10%Reserves&Budgeted for Appropriation Reserve: <br /> In normal course,the CPC Committee moved forward to set aside the Annual 10%Reserve of <br /> the estimated Community Preservation Funds for Open Space/Recreation Purposes,Historic <br /> Preservation Purposes and Affordable Housing Purposes, and to fund the Budget for <br /> Appropriation Reserve for use in Fiscal Year 2022. <br /> Motion made by Mr. Larkin to approve and recommend the CPC Article proposed to set <br /> aside the 10% Reserves, $198,834 to each respective category, and $1,351,834 to the Budget <br /> for Appropriation Reserve for use in Fiscal Year 2022.
