Mashpee Affordable Housing Committee <br /> ,y <br /> Mashpee Town Hall <br /> 16 Great Neck Road North, Mashpee, MA 02649 <br /> MEETING MINUTES FOR OCTOBER 19,2021 APPROVED <br /> 11/02/2021 <br /> Meeting Location &Time: Mashpee Town Hall -Ockway Meeting Room at 6:30pm <br /> In Person Attendance <br /> Committee Members: Allan Isbitz,Chairperson;Bruce Willard,Vice Chairperson <br /> Noelle Pina,Clerk;Melinda Baker,Member <br /> Presenters: Beth Wade,Habitat for Humanity (attending virtually) <br /> Others Present: Mary Waygan,Planning Board Member,Arden Russell Cadrin, <br /> Lynne Barbee <br /> Call to Order <br /> The meeting was convened by the Chair at 6:35 p.m. The roll call of Committee members was taken and <br /> a quorum to conduct business was confirmed. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> Chairperson Isbitz noted that minutes for the meetings of June 15,July 13 and August 10 were on the <br /> agenda for approval,and asked if the Committee members were ready to consider them. Hearing no <br /> objection,he entertained separate motions to approve these minutes. <br /> IT WAS MOVED by Ms.Baker to approve the minutes for June 15,2021. Ms.Pina seconded the <br /> motion. The minutes were approved by a unanimous vote. <br /> IT WAS MOVED by Ms.Pina to approve the minutes for July 13,2021. Ms.Baker seconded the <br /> motion. The minutes were approved with 3 affirmative votes. Mr.Willard abstained not being <br /> present at the July meeting. <br /> IT WAS MOVED by Mr.Willard to approve the minutes for August 10,2021. Ms Baker seconded <br /> the motion. The minutes were approved with 3 affirmative votes. Ms.Pina abstained not being <br /> present at the August meeting. <br /> Old Business(Reporting on Pipeline Projects as Progress Occurs) <br /> 1. 950 Falmouth Road. POAH-HAC is still awaiting award announcements by the HOME <br /> Consortium Advisory Committee. However,the Advisory Committee has decided to <br /> increase the maximum award per project from$250,000 to$300,000. The Advisory <br /> Committee is still reviewing all the applications at this time. <br /> Chairman Isbitz informed the Committee that POAH-HAC submitted their full <br /> application to the state Department of Housing and Community Development(DHCD) <br /> on September 20. He also said that he was asked to provide POAH-HAC with a letter of <br /> support that could be included in their application package,and that he had to do so by <br /> the application deadline of September 20 precluding him from seeking support of the full <br /> Committee for the letter at a regular public meeting. He asked for a retroactive approval <br /> so DHCD and the Selectmen could be informed that the letter does in fact represent <br /> the views of the full Committee. <br /> IT WAS MOVED by Mr.Willard to approve the letter of support submitted by <br /> Chairperson Isbitz on behalf of the Affordable Housing Committee.
