EXPLANATION: If the proposed transfer is approved, plans and legal actions would be prepared for townspeople to consider at a future town meeting whether the Town should accept all the roadways in the - Br i arwood neighborhood as public ways. The proposed transfer -is from an account originally designed to prepare easement plans for a water distribution system in a portion of Briarwood. The Town is prohibited by law from constructing and operating such a system, Such a system may be considered by the Mashpee Water District.
