Minutes of Meeting
Plan Review Committee
Tuesday, November 9, 2021
Mashpee Town Hall Waquoit Meeting Room
Tom Rullou Fire Chief
He asked if the basement will be utilized for any treatment. Andy said; no. Tom said that
there is sufficient emergency lighting. The proposed interior construction changes should
conform to the permitting process including controlled construction documentation. He
asked if the treatment room walls will be to the ceiling. He will have to review the
construction project with the Building Commissioner. Tom said there is a sufficient amount
of lighting, and emergency lights. There is no alarm system for smoke or co detectors. The
Fire Department will require the interior plan for the permitting process. The building is not
sprinkled. The use group should be identified.
There were no more comments.
Glen made a motion that the committee approve the request with the following comments;
-Controlled Construction Documents be provided that shows heat and smoke detection
and the use group for a building permit.
Evan seconded. All were in favor.
Dave made a motion to accept the meeting minutes dated September 21, 2021. Chris
Gallaher seconded. All were in favor. Scott Carline abstained.
Additional tooics
Evan mentioned that the applicant for 684 Falmouth Road presented his project to be only
interior related work. There was nothing jurisdictional beyond building code that was
necessary. He said that the zoning bylaw allows the committee to make comments through
email. In the future, if there are only interior modification governed by the building code he
doesn't believe that a formal meeting is required.
Tom Rullo mentioned that there's a change to the use group. Dave said this is a change of
use. Glen said that there is very few properties connected to a treatment plant. Glen said
that there have been issues in the past with changes of use and the committee should be
notified ahead of time. Glen asked Evan if a modification to the Special Permit is necessary.
Evan said; yes. He thought that a recommendation could be made through email without
the committee meeting together.
Evan also mentioned that any revised plans should be reviewed before the Zoning Board
votes to approve it.
There were no other comments. Glen made a motion to adjourn. All were in favor. The
meeting adjourned at 9:30 AM.
Respectfully submitted;
Mary Ann Romero
Administrative Secretary
Zoning Board of Appeals
4
