Coalition
The coalition meeting is being held October 13, 2021 at 4:00p.m. Sandwich has not had a
committee to support diversity, equity, and inclusion. There was an interest that had been
initiated by a student a couple years ago to the School Board. A sub-committee for DEI has
since been created in the school district. The residents then waned town recognition. The
Board made a DEI statement which happened quicker than anticipated. It has been titled
Sandwich for All. The coalition spans across Cape Cod/South Shore but it only goes as far
as Barnstable. She will be contacting DennisNarmouth to spread involvement, and work
down Cape. She was in contact with a man from Provincetown recently.
2. Column
Ms. Stevenson missed a couple articles in the Enterprise while she was gone. She noted
the importance of supporting local journalism. She makes the point every time she reads
she finds an article that correlates with the MIDC. The Local Journalism Sustainability Act
provides tax incentives to local journalists.
1
