M <br /> Mashpee Planning Board <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> Auger t 1,2012 at 7:00 pm. <br /> Selectmen's Meeting loon Town Hall <br /> Planning Board Members Present: Chairman Mary Waygau, vice Chair George Petersen, <br /> Clerk David Ioo an, Dennis Balarini <br /> Absent: Joe Mullin <br /> Also Present: Torn Pudala-Town Planner;Charles Rowley—Consultant Engineer <br /> CALL To ORDER <br /> The Town of Mashpee Planning Board meeting was opened with a quoru.rn in the Selectmen' <br /> Meeting born at Mashpee Town lull by Chdrman Wagan at 7:04 p.m. on Wednesday, <br /> August I, 2012 and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> APPROVAL of M"MTES—July I Sk. 2012 <br /> • MOTION: Mr. Ba l a rin i made a motion to accept the minutes of Juty 1e as written. Mr. <br /> Petersen seconded the motion. All voted una hnously. <br /> SPECIAL PERMYT <br /> Applicant: Southport on Cape Cod <br /> Location: Southport Phase III <br /> Request: Approval of re-design of Twin Oaks Drive and part of Grey Hawk Drive <br /> (continued from July 18, 201 and discussion of landscape plan for Building 31 on <br /> Chadwick Court <br /> The Chair read for the record the request.. Ron Bonvie was present to discuss Southport"s - <br /> request. Mr. Bonvie referenced the previous meeting where a redesign of Twin Oaks and Grey <br /> Hawk was discussed, as a result of the tree walk. The intent of the re-design was to save more <br /> trees which Mr. onvie's engineer accomplished in const Italion with Mr. Rowley. Mr. Rowley <br /> seat a letter of approval for the re-designed plans. <br /> Plans wcre presented to the Board. It was noted that the plans were similar to plans approved <br /> approximately 6 months prior. The greatest mange was in profile, with the roads not needing to <br /> be cut down as much as in the past. It was determined that the redesign would bring the site <br /> closer to its natural state in order to save more trees. No units were added or removed. Mr. <br /> udala inquired about the road bout and fir. Rowley confirmed that there was no change in <br /> alignunent. l r. B ` ' inquired whether there were ` ' g trees that would be too close to <br /> the Homes and Mr. Bonvie responded that he would try to save trees-2-3 feet from the house. <br /> Mr. hudala stated that a new tree walls would take place with the new plan. Mr. Bonvie stated <br /> that he would schedule it as soon as possible. Since the location of the roads had not changed, <br /> the roadways been cut. <br /> Mr. Bowleg stated that there would be areas in Grey Hawk that would require removal of trees <br /> due to neceswy soil removal to create a level area for the strums. Mr. Rowley sued than the <br /> redesign did not sage a substantial amount of trees but it reduced the amount of cut and fill so <br /> 1 <br />
