Mashpee Planning Board <br /> Minutes of fleeting _ <br /> September 5, 2012 at 7: o p.m. <br /> Selectmen's Meeting ing Room, Mashpee Town Hall <br /> Planning Board Members Present: Chairman Mary waygan., Vice Chair George Petersen, <br /> Clerk David oohar4an, Dennis B i Joe Mullin <br /> Al p Present; Tom Fudala-Town Planner; Charles Rowley-Consultant Engineer; Torn O'Hara- <br /> Selectman; Tam Mayo-Assistant Town Manager <br /> CALL To ORDER <br /> The Town of Mashpee Planning Board meeting was opened with a quorum in theSelectmen's <br /> Meeting Room at Ma hp a Town Hall by Chairman waygan at 7:00 p.tn_ on Wednesday, <br /> September 5, 2012 and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. <br /> APPROVAL OF MINUTES—August 15,2012 <br /> Mr. FudaJa referenced the second sentence under"Inclusionary Bylaw' and requested that it read <br /> "He would include it in the OSID and Commercial Center bylaws and would bring it back . . ." <br /> MOTION: Mr. Petersen made a motion to accept the minutes,. Mr. Bal arini seconded the <br /> motion. 4 yes, l abstain <br /> SP ClL PERJWW <br /> -Approval of Tree Clearing Plan for Southport Phase Buildings 60,61,62& 63 <br /> Mr. Bonvie referenced the previous meeting why the Phahr niug Board approved major revisions <br /> to the site plan, to include draining and grading changes, onmfing a much improved plan. Since <br /> the approval, a tree walk was conducted to identify trees that could be saved. Mr. Bonvie <br /> reported that, although there were just two lotions near the buildings where trees could be <br /> saved, the area was surrounded by green areas. fir. Bomie noted that the grading and drainage <br /> prevented the saving of many trees, as depicted on the plan. br. Bonvie pointed out on the plan <br /> where he would not be removing trees because it would be oumide the proxtnuty of the <br /> buildings, as determined by the special permit. lair. Fudala confirmed that only four of the trees <br /> could be saved. Mr. Bonvie sued that the new plan was better than the previous plan and was <br /> north the re-,design, however, he was unable to sage additional trees. lair_ Rowley suggested that <br /> Mr. Bonvie would be able to re-plant since he was in possession of a tree spade, and had done so <br /> previously. Mr. Rowley agreed that the grades were substantial and offered little choice. Mr. <br /> Bonvie confirmed that he would be spading trees and placing them during the landscaping phase. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Mullin made a motion to accept the tree plansas presented. Mr. Bal arini <br /> seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br /> The Chair signed the plans. <br /> CO M PRE NSIVE PLAN <br /> Final review of Coastal Rmurc s Element, Goals, Objectives & Policies <br /> There,were no additional changes recommended. <br /> 1 <br />
