All voted unanimously. <br /> • <br /> BOARD Y1 EMS <br /> Old Business <br /> Discussion of Greenways Proposal/Draft Proposal Document-The Chair invited <br /> comments regarding the draft brochure for the Greenways propose. The Char reported that she, <br /> Mr. Kooharian and Mr. Fudala would be meeting with Doug Storrs of Mashpee Commons on <br /> September 1 . I1rfr.Fudala stated that the map depicted all existing and approved roads,trails, <br /> bike paths and sidewalks with a limited number of new proposes, such as trails to the high <br /> school and 'Trout Pend, along with an exercise trail. Mr. Fudala referenced the Common concept <br /> which included a gazebo and playground to increase activity at the site. It was noted that copies <br /> of the drafts had been provided to Mr. Storrs. Other ideas included a portable mini golf course <br /> and wading pool skating rink located near the Fire station. The Chair stated that the ideas-were <br /> n attempt to link the situ located around the rotary, as well as to tie into ecotourisrn with the <br /> trails. Mr. Fudala stated that the new urban development concept, or pocket pans, fit in nicely . <br /> with the goals of Mashpee Com ons. Mr. Fudala recom ended the Gnmmays remain a <br /> concept, adding that changes were expected to M&shpee Commons' 4 B project. Mr. l ooharian <br /> referenced a site in New York that feaftued asing rink surrounded by shopping kiosks, <br /> Christmas village and Food, stating that it was very crowded. Mr. Kooharian emphasized that <br /> green areas worked M" all locations and attracted many people. fir. Fudala added that there were <br /> payoffs for pans, noting that real estate values increased in areas surrounding parks and green <br /> areas. An.update will be available at the next meeting. <br /> Mr. Balzarini recommended a playground for seniors. Mr. Fudala noted that it should be a maim <br /> theme of the LCP update to address the needs of seniors. There was a discussion about the-trails. <br /> Mr. Petersen descfbed a green area in Stanford, CT designed to be user friendly and attract <br /> visitors. 11r. Petersen offered to share information regardimg the first phase Of the project. Mr. <br /> Fudala offered other ammples of successful sites around the country. <br /> Affordable Housing Plan and lnclusionary Bylaw-fir. Fudala provided the OSID <br /> Bylaw and the Comm ial Center Bylaw and described the underlined amendments that needed <br /> to be included for affordable housing. In the OSID Bylaw, D6 was an amendment addition. Mr. <br /> Fudala suggested that units defined as 2.2bedrooms may need to be simplified in the future. <br /> Another addition was located in H . regarding the Oom ercial Center Bylaw, an addition was <br /> made to section G. The Chair stated that bonuses were important to soften the burden of <br /> required affordable housing. 11r1r. Fudala suggested the possibility of expanding the bonus to <br /> l ° . fir.
