. .9 <br />Mashpee Planning Board <br />Minutes of Meeting <br />October 3, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. <br />Selectmen's Meeting Room Mashpee Town Hall <br />PlanningBoard Members Present: Chairman Mary waygan, Clerk David I oohar�an, Dennis <br />E al arini, Joe Mullin <br />Absent: Vice Chair merge -Petersen <br />Also Present; Tom l~ud l -Town Planner; Charles Rowley -Consultant Engineer <br />CALIF To ORDER <br />The Town of Mashpee Manning Board meeting was opened with a quoru.m in the Selectmen's <br />Meeting Room at Mashpee Town Hall by Chairman waygan at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, <br />October 3. 2012 and the Fledge of Allegiance was recited. <br />APPROVAL OF S--September 19 2012 <br />MOTION: 'Mr. Brini made a motion to accept the minutes as written -for September <br />19th. Mr. Kooharian seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br />SPECIAL PERMIT <br />Applicant: Community Health Center of Cape Cod, Inc. (underlying laud is leased <br />to the applicant by the Town ofMashpee) <br />Location: 107 Commercial Street (Mashpee Assessors Map 81, parcels 129 and 18) <br />Request: Approval of two freestanding signs per Special Permit condition 3. <br />(Design Review Committee reviewed on October 2, 2012) <br />ALSO: Signature of site plan modification decision approved 9-19�-12 <br />Mr. Fudala reported that the Design Review Committee had initially seen two di Terent signs, <br />one for the upper parldng lot and one for the lower parking lot. Design Review recommended <br />that hotly signs include what was located in each of the parking lots. Size, distance and lighting <br />were acceptable.rnunitHealth Center CEO, Karen Gardner, was in attendance at the <br />meeting to seep approval for the signne. Ms. Gardner stated their desire to dace one sign at the <br />entrance closest to the budding and the second sign to be lamed at the entrance to the lower <br />parkinglot. The signage will include the Center's logo, as weU as the services located at the <br />upper and lower ping lot. The top portion will be white and the lower portion will be green to <br />match the color scheme of the e3dsting logo. The modification was needed because the signs <br />were not shown on the original site plan and rewired consideration by Design Review and <br />approval b the Plarming Board. Mr. Mullin indicated that the signage was in line with other <br />pp y <br />hospital facilities. Mr. EWzarini inquired about lighting and Nis. Gardner responded that the <br />parking lights would light the signs, although electricity would be available at the transport won <br />but if needed. <br />MOTION: Mr, Ba arini made a motion to make the change to the special permit site plan <br />for the signage and the will be two signs, one at the upper level and one at the lower level, <br />s shown on the site P lan for signage pu only s designed by SignDesign dated 9/6/12, <br />Version 2. 1 Ir. 'Mufl n seconded the motion. All voted unanimously. <br />
