Tom suggested that Beverly arrange:to meet with Joyce before the /09/ 4 <br /> finance committee meeting to discuss the transfer of funds. <br /> Comes ondence Items <br /> 1 Beverly lane read a copy of a letter from the Board of Health to the manager of <br /> the La Plaza Del Sal Motel. The letter states that the Board of Health is requiring <br /> the installation of a denitHfication tystem by the Plaza del Sol !Motel, to bring <br /> th m'into compliance with Regulation 7. Timeline for installation of the unit is to <br /> be determined at the ,dune 1, 2004 meeting of the Board of-Health. <br /> Invitation to a Toast& Roast" event was received,.scheduled for 3 1 104, 4:30 <br /> PM, at the Quashnet Valley country Club. The-honoree is Dare Bailey, who has <br /> resigned his post as Director of Assessing for the Town of Mashpee. <br /> Beverly Kane welcomed associate Board member John Halachis to the meeting tonight. John <br /> has been appointed by the lashpee.Board of Selectmen to serve as an associate member of the <br /> Planning Board for the balance of the year 2004. The post is a,one-gear appointment. <br /> Public Hearin <br /> 7:15 PM. Applicant: cape.Southport Associates LLc <br /> Location: Southport Condominiums, old Barnstable Road <br /> Request: Approval of final Site Development Plan continued from 11 /0 <br /> Beverly requested that Torn Fudala review the draft, section by section, holding questions from <br /> the audience until the end of his presentation. <br /> Michael Dunning, attorney representing Cape Southport Associates LLc, introduced him' setf <br /> to the audience. He made some,introductory remarks to present the point of view of his client. <br /> He stated that his client is in agreement with the final site plan to be reviewed tonight. -His feeling <br /> is that the plan accurately reflects the direction that Southport Associates wanted to take. The <br /> guidelines set up have been followed, and have established a working model for future <br /> development at Southport Michael expressed his sincere appreciation to the Planning Board, <br /> BA, the conservation Commission, the Southport owners and their ad hoc committee for their <br /> time and patience in working together to come to an agreed-upon site plan for all parties involved. <br /> The Mashpee Building Inspector has indicated that he has reviewed-all the plans for the next 4 <br /> units and is prepared to issue building permits once the Planning Board approves-the final site <br /> plan. Michael expressed the-hope that the developers have regained the trust and confidence of <br /> the Planning Board and the other Town Boards as well as the Southport owners as well. Any <br /> loose ends that shover up will be addressed as they come to light. <br /> Torn Fudala Town Planner, Introduced himself to the audience. copies of-the 212 / 4 PM <br /> Town Planner DRAFT MARKUP of the Modification of Final Site Development Plan were <br /> distributed. Torn proceeded to review the modifications to the Final-Site Development Plan which <br /> were outlined in bold print. <br /> Page 4 outlines the changes made to the site plan since the last meeting_ This basically presents <br /> a history of what was going on, and a projection af what is being presented tonight. <br /> Page 5.,under 11 Decision and Findings, 1, b, "Landscape PlansR date Feb. 18 is changed to Feb. <br /> 4. Also the landscaper, Hawk Design, Inc. is proposing planting of bittersweet vines along the <br /> Old Barnstable Road perimeter fence, with revisions to existing landscaping adjacent to Building <br /> to improve parking area site distance. Discussion ensued among audience members a <br /> well as Board members about the selection of Bittersweet vines, which are invasive and will <br /> quickly take over the area. <br /> 2 <br />
