Cook has applied for and obtained licenses and permits from the Mashpee <br /> i <br /> Board of Selectmen and the Conservation Commission authorizing the <br /> shellfish aquaculture operation. <br /> 22. The aquaculture license and the wetlands permits purport to authorize <br /> Cook to install and maintain 4,500 shellfish aquaculture grow-out bags <br /> within the 1.99 acre grant area. <br /> 23. Each grow-out bag will by 3' by 1.5' in size and will anchored to the <br /> bottom with an anchoring system consisting of approximately 40 parallel <br /> lines 345' long each holding 114 shellfish bags. The lines will be affixed <br /> to the bottom with approximately 80 helical anchors. The bags will be <br /> placed in rows separated by about two feet and will occupy nearly 90,000 <br /> square feet of the bottom of the Bay. Oysters will be"planted"and grown <br /> I! in each of the grow-out bags. Planting, harvesting and maintenance <br /> �I <br /> activities will be undertaken by up to four workers, primarily during the <br /> low tide cycle. <br /> 24.
