Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 5, 2004 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HANGS <br /> Public Hear' —Jade Chinese Restaurant—Violations: <br /> Selectman green opened the Public Hearing to afford the opportunity of <br /> Jade Chinese Restaurant,Inc. to show cause why the All Alcohol <br /> Restaurant License should not be modified, suspended, revolved, or <br /> cancelled. <br /> Representatives from Jade Chinese restaurant were present to discuss <br /> natters relative to compliance with the Board of Selectmen. It was noted <br /> that the referenced business was not in compliance with the Fire <br /> Department for code issues pertaining to the cleaning and maintenance of <br /> the range hood and roof fan units. The Building Inspector was also unable <br /> to sign off on the liquor license due to the accumulation of waste (grease) <br /> on the roof from the range hood fans. <br /> George Baker, Fire Chief was present, and stated that outstanding issues <br /> regarding Jade Chinese Restaurant have been rectified. The roof fans have <br /> been professionally cleaned and are now in compliance with applicable <br /> codes. There are no outstanding issues. <br /> In response to the code violation, Chief Baker recommended the <br /> Selectman place a letter of warning in the file of Jade Restaurant. <br /> larntong Tarn, Jade Chinese Restaurant indicated that the business has <br /> hind a new cleaning firm to prevent this type of occurrence. <br /> Being no comment,the Board motioned to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Marsters. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -o. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalne to issue a letter of warning to <br /> Jade Chinese Restaurant for the violations as referenced, and auow <br /> the establishment to continue operations in the Town of Mashee with <br /> an All Alcohol Restaurant License issued by the Board of Selectmen} <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Taylor. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -0. <br />
