Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 5, 2004 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> flash gee Human services—lah ee Unplugged: <br /> Louise Patrick, Human Services Director was present to ask the <br /> Selectmen's support for an exciting community initiative called "Mashpee <br /> Unplugged". The event, scheduled for the month of March will encourage <br /> families to pull the plug on electronic entertainment and"plug into" <br /> reading and family/community activities. <br /> The awareness campaign is also being initiated in cooperation with the <br /> Ton of Falmouth. A calendar of substitute activities was proposed. The <br /> Masbpee School Committee has endorsed the community initiative <br /> proposal. <br /> Motion made by Selectman CAhalane to endorse the community <br /> initiative entitled i i shpee Unplugged" and declare the month o <br /> March as"Mashpee Unplugged Month". <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Mar tens. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. -0. <br /> Public ear —Barnstable PILZza and Pasta Co., Inc., dba Finally Dino' <br /> Violation: <br /> Selectman Green opened the Public Hearing of Barnstable Pima and Pasta <br /> Co., dlba Finally Dino's to show cause why the All Alcohol Restaurant <br /> License should not be modified, suspended, revoked or cancelled. <br /> Dino Mitroko tas, Manager was present to discuss the violation of the fire <br /> code with respect to deficient furniture. Mr. Mitrokostas was advised o <br /> the violation since the order of notice issued on February 28, 2003. <br /> GeorgeBaker, Fire Chief was present to discuss fire codes applicable to <br /> 527 CMR Section 1.07. It was noted that the Deputy Fire Chief and <br /> Building Inspector conducted a site visit on November 20, 2003. <br /> follow-up letter from the Deputy Chief stated that the business was in <br /> violation. Failure to remove the deficient furniture has resulted in this <br /> hearing with the Board of Selectmen. <br /> 1 <br />
