" The Town Planner informed the Board of a conversation he had with Mike Ac,kerman, from the State, about this issue. The State would recognize Quaker Run as "impaired grater" because it flows into shoestring Bay, which is on the list. It would take years to attempt to add Quaker Run individually. New Seabury Proposed street Karnes The Town Planner reported that proposed street names for Sea Quarters Condominium and Fiat Pond Subdivision have been submitted to the Town Clerk and Fire Department for approval, at which point a Public Hearing will be scheduled. MOTION: Lee Gutftey made a Lotion to schedule the Public Hearing in this matter to December 7, 2005, at 7 : I0 p.m. ; which. Motion was duly seconded by Dennis Bal arini and so voted unanimously. Update - Blue Ribbon Committee The Chairman reported there have been three meetings to date. During the first few meetings the committee appeared to have a .strug.gle with scope and responsibilities that the committee would be undertaking during the eighteen-month time frame. The committee has voted to send a let.te-r to the Selectmen- stating they feel it is not within the committee' s responsibilities to work on updating the Local Comprehensive Plan. It has also been decided to concentrate on four major issues : Water Resources, Wastewater Facilities, Planning, and Coastal Resources; Land Use and Growth Management; Transportation; and Economic Development . The Chairman feels comfortable with the progress made to date, there is a -concern that the committee stay focused and become an action committee rather than a study committee. Correspondence
