Town of Mashpee <br /> Planning Board <br /> Minutes of Meeting <br /> February 1 , 2009 <br /> The Town of Ma hpee Planning Board Meeting was called to order in Conference <br /> Room#I Mashpee Town lull, 16 Great Neck Road Forth, Mashpee Massachusetts at <br /> 00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2009, <br /> Planning.Board'Mernbers present: Dennis alzarini, Vice-Chairman; Jaynes <br /> Kennard, Clerk; Joseph Mullin; Thomas O'Hara, Chairman; Mary waygan, Associate <br /> Member; and.Albert Wick el (6:13 p..m. . <br /> Also present: F. Thomas Fud la, Town Planner. <br /> Absent: Thomas Mayo, GIS Coordinator; and Charles Rowley, Consulting <br /> Engineer. <br /> Mashpee Commons: Douglas Storrs. <br /> Cape Cod Commission: Phil Dascombe. <br /> A quorum being present the Chairman called the Meeting to order and addressed <br /> the first order of business. <br /> Discussion <br /> Douglas Story -Mashpee onrn ns LLC and Cape Cod Commission Staff <br /> Regarding Proposed Mashpee Commons Development Agreement <br /> Informational deeds and Process <br /> The Chairman opened the Discussion in this matter, and asked for Planning Board <br /> and Cape Cod Commission input. <br /> James Leonard made reference to the economic situation, stating that he feels this <br /> is not the appropriate time to be building in the Town, making reference to the proposed <br /> retail building at Job'Fishing and East Steeple-Street. He also+asked the Applicant for an <br /> estimated time-scale for the proposed building. <br /> Douglas Storrs:responded that the proposed retail differs from that of the existing. <br /> Mashpee Commons retail in that it is geared towards the owner ecupi d retail, the <br /> smaller retail. I�o stated that any community benefits more by having.are opportunity for <br /> independent retail. He agreed that there is not a great demand for national retail at this <br /> time. <br />
