MOTION: Joseph Mullin made a Motion to continue thib Public Dearing in thi <br /> matter to March 18, 2009, at 7:15 p.m., at.Applicant's request; which Motion was duly <br /> seconded by Janes Leonard and so voted unanimously. <br /> The Chairman returned to the Meeting and the 1iashpee Commons review of the <br /> Mashpee Planning Board —Cape Cod Commission Joint Discussion of IMashpee <br /> Commons Master Plan and Development Agreement was resumed. <br /> Steeple Street Crossing— Options to consider an overpass remain open for <br /> discussion. The Commercial Street connection also remains open for further discussion <br /> (whether directly across or staggered for safety reasons). <br /> Further discussion is required on whether or not to provide sidewalks to the <br /> Rotary; as well as bike paths and sidewalks through Mashpee Commons. <br /> .I lass Transit connection program is critical to the community; transportation is <br /> key. A suggestion was made for a bus terminal for transportation toBoston/Kingston <br /> Rail Station from 1 l shpee Commons. <br /> Agreement was,made for the inclusion of bike racks. Further discussion is <br /> required for the extension of sideways along Route 2 . Additional curb cuts on Route 2 <br /> will depend on traffic study results. <br /> Discussion remains open regarding any benefits to Trout.Pond.as identified in the <br /> proposed Trout Fond Impact Study. <br /> Where was review of the Energy and Sustainability portion of the report. Mr. <br /> Storrs stated his intention to use solar and Pv materials wherever possible. <br /> There was brief discussion regarding the possibility of building a hotel within <br /> Il ashpee Commons. Mr. Storrs stated that as much as he would life to and as much as it <br /> . <br /> would benefit the community, it would be nearly impossible to finance hotel at this <br /> time. <br /> At this point the Chairman suggested that the Board and the Applicant mere <br /> forward with this matter and address the many questions and concern. , including the <br /> legal aspects, as this process continues.
