Town of Mashpee <br /> Planning Board <br /> Nfinutes of Meeting <br /> July 15, 2009 <br /> The Town of Ilahpee.'Planning Board fleeting was called to order in Conference <br /> Room 1, Mashpee Town Hall, 16 Great beck Road North, Mashpee, M sad husetts at <br /> :00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2009. The Chairman, Thomas O'Hara, presided. <br /> Planning Board Members present: Dennis Bal arini, Vice-Chairman; John <br /> Cotton, Associate Member; Jaynes Leonard; Joseph Mullin, Clerk; Thomas O'Hara, <br /> Chairman; -and Mary waygan. <br /> Also present: F. Thomas Fudala,Town Clerk; Thomas Mayo, GIS Coordinator; <br /> and Charles Rowley, Consulting Engineer. <br /> A.quorum being present the Chairman called the Planning Board Meeting to order <br /> and addressed the first order of business. <br /> Approval of Minutes <br /> April 1, 2009 <br /> MOUON Dennis Balzarinmi made a.Motion to approve the Minutes of April 1, <br /> 009 as submitted; which Notion was duly seconded by Mary Waygan and so voted <br /> unanimously. <br /> Discussion <br /> Regional Policy Plan Vision lap <br /> The Chairman reported that he,.has discussed this matter with representatives from <br /> the'Town of Sandwich, explaining Mashpee concerns with traffic mitigation/loss of <br /> second and third floor mined use buildings. <br /> He mentioned the Echo Road and Industrial Parr areas and some of the <br /> difficulties-involved with development clue to the fact that they exist within a resource <br /> area and must comply with certain conditions. In the event a Vision Map is adopted, <br /> there will be more issues to be addressed. <br /> He suggested that perhaps these areas should be designated a " t,her" until such <br /> time as sortie of these issues of concern have been resolved and to relieve the property <br /> owners of further hardships. <br /> He also recognized than the Mashpee Commons project is a major concern for the <br /> Town, especially the National Heritage a issues at the'Trout Pond parcel. <br /> 1 <br />
