The homeowner from 153 Kim Path is concerned about the water runoff into the
• backyard of her property.
John Slavinsky answered; "The wall abutting the property will be 2 feet 4 inches
high. The 4 foot is over the septic. The sub tank is the highest item abutting the
leaching facility, and then it will grade off down to the wall, and will only be a
foot higher. The bottom of the leaching facility has to be 5 feet above ground
level so it's already a foot higher. The leaching facility is normally about 2 feet in
depth, but will change this to a depth of 1 foot. The concrete is about 4 inches,
and then 9 inches of fill will be applied over the concrete."
Bill Blaisdell asked if the surrounding areas are better or worse.
John Slavinsky said; "It will be worse because water is flowing from the abutters,
but this will be stopped and water will be contained. This is the lowest point on
the property. The septic will be installed at an elevation 7 grade, and the minimum
grade on the tank is elevation I L"
Jon Furbush asked; "how high is the wall on the property to the left of 16
Squaws?"
John Slavinsky said; "It's 7 feet. The wall for 16 Squaws will be 2 feet, 4 inches."
. The homeowner at 153 Kim Lane asked about the water flow from the property to
the left after the wall is built.
John Slavinsky said; "The water will flow onto Squaws Lane."
Michael Kelly, of 49 Kim Path asked; 'will there be one continuous concrete wall
on both property lines and across the back?"
John Slavinsky stated the wall does not have to be concrete. The only concrete
part is about 60 feet along the corner.
Michael Kelly also asked; "will your theory of the wall holding the water from
going either one way or the other, using key lock or wood, compromise the bond
if in fact the wall is not water tight?"
John Slavinsky said; "The water flowing into the backyard is a small percentage
because the property is graded toward Squaws Lane."
Michael Kelly asked; "will the dry wells, "trenches" absorb the water coming off
the roof line?"
John Slavinsky said; "Every drip edge will have this because we are committed to
the Conservation Department. The French Drain will be across the front; property
40
line to property line, 2 feet wide and 4 feet deep."
