This project was submitted to the Conservation Commission and has <br />an Order of Conditions for this project by the Department of Environmental Protection <br />that authorizes all proposed development. <br />Jon Furbush is concerned with safety and setbacks in this neighborhood. He stated police <br />and fire departments need to maneuver on this road. He will consult with Town Council <br />for legal comments. He stated the Board requires the existing and proposed elevations <br />and updated floor plans. <br />Richard Morgan stated the fire department requires the road to be 20-22 feet wide to <br />service. <br />Jon Slavinsky stated the road is currently 12 feet wide and his clients could widen the <br />road another 40 feet. Ron Bonvie stated that would require the approval from the <br />Planning Board. <br />Bill Blaisdell read the Conservation Comments as follows: "This project came before the <br />several months ago and was originally denied. The reason for denial was a <br />commission <br />lack of demonstrated compelling need for the boat house. Construction of the boat house <br />would involve the removal of natural vegetation on the lot, all within 50 feet of the <br />Concern) designation-Waquoit <br />coastal bank and ACEC (Area of Critical Environment <br />Bay. The applicants did offer up compensatory plantings for the project; however, the <br />landscape plan was not up to the mitigation design standards under Mashpee's wetland <br />by-law.
