MASHPEE ZONING BOARD OF APPEALS
SEPTEMBER 11, 2013
MINUTES
Bob Overage, a member of the Disability Committee asked about the road access and
parking throughout the Mashpee Commons as well off-street parking.
Tom stated the plan shows the access at the four corners with wheel chair ramps. The civil
engineer is looking into the back area to determine what needs to be done for a "striping"
standpoint. The plan depicts the back of the building and the front doors of the two spaces;
one front door will be on Fountain Street at the intersection of Fountain and Market, and
the second floor entrance will be on the Southern edge of the building at the intersection
of Market Street and the "ring road". There will be on -street -parking spaces and back
parking spaces. There are four handy -capped spaces within reasonable proximity of the
building, but will be dictated by the prospective tenant. Tom stated he will look into
reallocating the spaces for the subsequent buildings.
Bill Blaisdell made a motion to approve Mashpee Commons request for a minor revision
under SP -86-04-024 to address actual built conditions, relocate certain square footage of
building space and location of parking areas, and previously approved residential units as
permitted on property located in a C-1 Zoning District, at 38 Nathan Ellis Highway, Unit
31, (Map 74 Parcel 20), Mashpee, MA. Reference to masterplan special permit document
Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership, 13 Steeple Street, Mashpee, MA dated March 4,
2013 consisting of three page pictorial maps and four pages of statistical information of the
building.
Richard Jodka, seconded, yes, Votes: Jim Reiffarth, yes, and Dom DeBarros, yes. He also requested the applicant's petitions and comments from the Board of
Health, Conservation, and abutter letters to be handed to the Board members at the hearings
as they address each item on the agendas.
Approve August 28, 2013 Meeting Minutes
Richard Jodka made a motion to approve the August 28, 2013 Meeting Minutes, yes, Bill
Blaisdell seconded, yes, Votes: Ron Bonvie, yes, James Reiffarth, yes, and Dom DeBarros,
yes.
