Residents age
65 r older, owning or renting a primary residential property with an
annual income of$43,000 or less for a single filer and with an income of
4,000 or less for joint filers is eligible for the tax credit. An
informational brochure was distributed detailing the program and its
eligibility requirements. Further information may be obtained through
Senator O'Leary's office or the Department of revenue.
Robert Crowley, Snead Drive discussed the recent tree clearing for the
construction of the new senior center. To his dismay, the wooded area
was heavily treed, and now lads screening and privacy. Mr. Crowley
appealed to the Selectmen to authorize additional landscape and plantings
to screen the new building from its area residents.
It was agreed that the Town Administrator would assess the site and
discuss the matter with the project architect. It was noted that the layout
of the building is in place according to the design and distance
specifications for on-site utilities. It would be cost prohibitive to redesign
the building.
