Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> January 26, 2004 <br /> Present: Selectman Reveille, Selectman green, Selectman Cahalane, <br /> Selectman Marsters, Selectman Taylor <br /> Town Administrator Joyce Jason <br /> Meeting Called to Order y Chairman Reveille at : o p.m. <br /> Town Mall, Conference Room##1 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Comment: <br /> Senator Robert O' eary's aid announced a new tax relief program for <br /> Massachusetts senior citizens entitled .The Circuit Breaker. Residents age <br /> 65 r older, owning or renting a primary residential property with an <br /> annual income of$43,000 or less for a single filer and with an income of <br /> 4,000 or less for joint filers is eligible for the tax credit. An <br /> informational brochure was distributed detailing the program and its <br /> eligibility requirements. Further information may be obtained through <br /> Senator O'Leary's office or the Department of revenue. <br /> Robert Crowley, Snead Drive discussed the recent tree clearing for the <br /> construction of the new senior center. To his dismay, the wooded area <br /> was heavily treed, and now lads screening and privacy. Mr. Crowley <br /> appealed to the Selectmen to authorize additional landscape and plantings <br /> to screen the new building from its area residents. <br /> It was agreed that the Town Administrator would assess the site and <br /> discuss the matter with the project architect. It was noted that the layout <br /> of the building is in place according to the design and distance <br /> specifications for on-site utilities. It would be cost prohibitive to redesign <br /> the building. <br />
