7 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 9, 2004 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Public Hearing--T VFW--AWlication for Club Annual All Alcohol <br /> License: (continued) <br /> It was noted that signage has been placed on the VFW property today by <br /> Sea View Real Estate announci g the lease of the building. Terms of the <br /> lease agreement were reviewed by the Selectmen. The standard fon-n <br /> commercial lease ended on the second anniversary of the commencement <br /> of the lease on the 6h day of March, 2001. <br /> Without a valid lease, the Selectmen indicated that they could not finalize <br /> the action to approve the license. The license when approved would b <br /> forwarded to the ABCC for final approval. 1t was noted that a o <br /> payment to the ABCC is also required to complete the application process. <br /> It was also disclosed that the VFW needs to submit the following to the <br /> Board of Selectmen; proof of updated wor man's compensation insurance <br /> and in writing, a vote of the VFW hoard of directors appointing ' arden <br /> Kelley as Manager. <br /> Being no comment, the Board motioned to close the Public Hearing. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to close the Public.nearing. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman.Cahala.ne# <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Selectman Leveille absent. <br /> Motion made by Selectman Taylor to continue the Public Hearing on <br /> the application of Mashpee Veterans of Foreign war, Inc,, lb a <br /> Mashpee Memorial VFW Post 5489, Varden Kelly, Manager for a <br /> Veterans Club Annual All Alcohol License to Monday, February 23, <br /> 2004 pending receipt of necessary documentation; a valid lease, <br /> confirmation from the Fire Department that repairs have been made <br /> to correct the violation of 527 CMR 1.0 , proof to show updated <br /> orkman's compensation insurance, a vote of the VFW board of <br /> directors appointing Varden Kelley as Manager and a check in the <br /> amount of$ 00 payable to the ABCC. <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Cahalane. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. 3-0. <br /> Selectman Eevedle absent. <br />
