6 <br /> Board of Selectmen <br /> Minutes <br /> February 9, 2004 <br /> APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br /> Friends of the Mash ee Senior Center—Sin Request: (continued) <br /> Motion made by Selectman Cahalane to approve the request of the <br /> Friends of the Mash pee.Senior Center and allow 1 thermometer- <br /> type sign to he placed at the Ma hg ee Rotary, and support additional <br /> fundraiser slgna a at a suitable location at the Route 1.51 entrance to <br /> the new senior center and/or at the present senior center location at <br /> Great Neck Road South; The Selectmen grant sign age to either site, <br /> or at both senior center locations for an estimated time of one-year <br /> pending approval from the Building Department and DPW regarding <br /> size and location of the intended slgoage. <br /> 5 <br /> Motion seconded by Selectman Green. <br /> VOTE: Unanimous. - . <br /> Public Hearin —VFW—Application for Club Annual .All Alcohol <br /> License: <br /> Selectman Leveille stepped down for the above referenced Hearing. <br /> Selectman Green presided and opened the Public Hearing to continue the <br /> discussion of the application of Mashpee Veterans a of Foreign War, Inc., <br /> dlb a Mashpee Memorial VFW Post 5489, Vanden Kelley, Manager,er, for <br /> Veterans Club Annual All Alcohol License at property described as: 6,500 <br /> square foot restaurant and bar faeiiity located at 40 Main Street, <br /> Mashpee, <br /> Joyce Mason, Town Administrator read aloud the Public Hearing notice as <br /> published. varden Kelley, newly appointed Manager was present to <br /> discuss the license application with the Board of Selectmen. It was noted <br /> that the Hearing was originally scheduled for January 26, 2004. Due to <br /> pending matters, the Selectmen voted to continue the Hearffig to this date. <br /> For disclosure!, an Order of Notice was presented to the VFW from the <br /> Deputy Fire Chief dated February 3, 2004 relative to a violation of 527 <br /> CMR 1.06. The VFW was ordered and directed to conduct necessary <br /> repairs to the fire protection system that is not transmitting properly. <br />
