(Owner of record Merry Meadow Enterprises, Inc.) <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws <br /> Chapter 40A.Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of <br /> general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on November 22, 2013 and November 29, <br /> 2013 a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> On Wednesday, December 11, 2013, Public Hearings were held on the Petition at <br /> the Mashpee Town Hall at which time the following members of the Board were present <br /> and acting throughout Jonathan D. Furbush, Chairman, William A.. Blaisdell, Vice <br /> Chairman, Associate Members, Domingo K. DeBarros and Scott Goldstein. Also present <br /> was Building Commissioner, Richard E. Morgan. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §10 and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> Shauna and Paul Gonsalves presented their proposal to open a boxing studio located <br /> at the Merry Meadow Plaza,22 Falmouth Road,Unit 8, and approximately 625 square feet <br /> of available office space. The main focus of business is to conduct outreach programs for <br /> children and adults from all"walks of life" as a physical and spiritual outlet by conducting <br /> boxing exercise classes.They will be offering free classes and conducting bible discussions <br /> to "at-risk" teens and age-appropriate children provided they work a half hour of <br /> community service. <br /> The trainers will be USA Boxing Certified as required under the business guidelines <br /> and are required to register their business upon receipt of their license. They are also <br /> required to become CPR and AED certified and will be taking classes in January. The <br /> studio space will be equipped with speed bags and heavy bags and there is no physical <br /> sparring; only shadow boxing. <br /> 1 <br />
