Mr. Fudala reported that the signage had been <br /> reviewed by Design/Review who offered comments. Mr_ Fudala stated that L esign Review's motion <br /> included a request for a new design incorporating reflective numbers in the left hand comer of the sign. <br /> Mr. Rowley expressed concern about shrubbery and the need to maintain it so as not-to cover the <br /> numbers. DPW Director Catherine Laurent recommended better contrast between the numbers and the <br /> background. The applicant indicated that they would do whatever was necessary to resolve any issues. <br /> Mr. Cummings stated that the sign drawing had been updated, adding that it had been recommended <br /> that the aluminum letters be 6 inches high, % inch wide and '4 inch thick. Additionally, it was <br /> requested that a brighter color be used on the sign and the numbers be relocated to the left corner or <br /> plantings eliminated. Mr. Rowley noted that numbers in the left.hand corner would make the sign out <br /> of balance. Mr. Rowley also suggested the possibility of the numbers attached to a white plate on the <br /> rock wall to create more contrast. There was also discussion about placing the number on the right <br /> hand side located closer to the road as well as in the center. 11r1r. Fudala reported that Design/Review <br /> voted to require 4 inch reflective numbers but Mr. Rowley suggested they would not be lame enough. <br /> The Planning Board discussed 6 inch letters located on the wall, reflective or in a contrasting color <br /> from the store or mounted on a plaque. fir. Rowley recommended dark letters on a white background <br /> since the color ofthe stone and letters would change over time. Chairman Petersen agreed that a plaque <br /> would he needed so numbers would stand out, particularly with the overhead lighting. There was <br /> added discussion regarding the specifics of how the sign should appear, 'Including additional lighting. <br /> MOTION: Mr. Cummings made a notion that the Bridges of Epoch sign have 6 inch white <br /> letters to match the white and blue Bridges sign, mounted on blue backing, mounted on the stone <br /> gall, illuminated with no shrubbery, Mr. Bai arini seconded the motion.
