The Assistant flown Planner reminded the Board of a
abutter suggestion that the road be namedSavanna' s Path,
submitted for consideration during this Public Hearing.
The Chairman determined that there are no duplications
or conflicts with the names Trinity Place and Cardinal
Lane.
The chairman them read the following letter into the
record from Chris and Maryanne Tufts, 76 Sampsons Mill
Road, Mashpee, MA. ..Dear Ms . Dami and Members of the
Planning Board, I am writing in reference to the above
named street name change from Mashpee Neck Roam as
Simons Road to Cardinal Lane. We were notified on the same
day, rather last minute, by a telephone call that there was
a Planning Board meeting on January 3, 2007 regarding the
above referenced matter and to call if we had any
questions, concerns, or suggestions. My husband attended
the Planning Board Meeting that evening to request our
street address -be changed' to "'Savanna' Path" as opposed to
Cardinal Lame. This question was asked f
me while I was standing there with nay five-year old son
holding onto one of my hands, my three-gear old daughter
holding any other, and any youngest son now almost eleven in
utero, seven months pregnant and quite obviously so. The
following days, months, and years became a nightmare as I
would hope you could well imagine for a family. Time goes
on and nightmares fade.
