of Selectmen decided to remove the proposed Article from <br /> the warrant based upon concerns voiced from a Finance <br /> Committee Member regarding costs associated with the <br /> proposal. <br /> The Town Planner sug.geste.d the Article be held until <br /> the. October Town Meeting. <br /> Lee Gurney, on behalf of the Historic District study <br /> Committee, asked for Planning Board support . <br /> MOTION: John Halachis made a Motion to support the <br /> efforts of the Historic District Study Committee in their <br /> Preliminary Study Report For The Proposed Mashpee Historic, <br /> District; .which Motion was duly seconded by Myrna Nuey and <br /> so voted unanimously. <br /> Lee Gurney t-hen informed the Board that she has <br /> drafted a proposal for the Community Preservation Act <br /> Corm-ittee in the amount of Twenty-Thousand 2 , 000 . 0) <br /> Dollars for the purpose of conducting an archeological <br /> recognizance level survey of Mashpee to. identify a-nd locate <br /> any archeological remains .. she stated the obvious value to <br /> Mashpee history, and requested Planning Board support in <br /> this matter as well. <br /> MOTION: Myrna Nuey made a Motion to support the <br /> proposal for an archeological recognizance surrey for the <br /> Town of Mashpee in the estimated. amount o-f Twenty-Thousand <br /> $20, 0 Dollars and to direct the Planning Board lice- <br /> Chairman to prepare and submit a letter of support to the <br /> Community Preservation Con mittee; which Motion was duly <br /> seconded by Dennis Balarini. <br /> Voting in Favor: Dennis Bal arink, Leo Gurney, Myrna <br /> Nuey, and John Halachi . <br /> Ab3ta.ining from the Vote in order to avoid any <br /> possible issues of conflict : Beverly Kane, as a Member of <br /> the- Community Preservation Committee. <br /> Windchime Reporting Requirement <br /> It was the general consensus of the Planning Board to <br /> review the next set of reports prior to requesting <br /> representatives of Windchime Point to appear before the <br /> Board. <br /> 7 <br />
