f ,
the retaining wall at Twin Oaks, "All design criteria for
the road and the wall be submitted at the time that
particular phase is submitted to the Planning Board prior
to any submissions to t-he Building Inspector for a building
permit" . This will insure that the design of the road and
retaining wall is adequate and approved by the Planning
Board.
t this point the chairman recognized Louise Behrman
who expressed concern regarding the buffer between
Algonquin Avenue and the development. Origi-nally it was
agreed by legal settlement that this area was to have been
a vegetated buffer strip in order to provide -some
protection to Algonquin Avenue. However, it is indicated
on the plan as setback.
Ms. Behr an requested clarification with regard to
this matter.
r. Bonvie agreed to make the change in language from
"setback" to ā€˛vegetated buffer" on the plan and to
substitute those revised pages of the plan.
The Chairman recognized William Iallagher, 124
Algonquin Avenue, Mashpee, MA - Inquired about the original
quad un- its . He-expressed concern r:e arding imp acts from
runoff as his home is located across from the access road.
The Town Planner responded that there has never been
an actual plan proposed for this section of the development
and that the previous phases have a combination of
buildings with a mixture of quad units .
Mr. Bowleg stated that each building has its own roof
runoff containment . The drainage issues regarding the
access read to Algonquin Road will be part of t'he next
design phase. The internal drainage issues have been self-
contained, the read redesign has its own catch- basins at
the intersection and will never readh Algonquin road.
Mr. Rowley r informed the Board that all of his concerns
have been addressed within the revised plans as presented
to the Board, there are some details that will have to be
addressed at the time the appropriate phases are presented
with respect to the rain gardens/vegetation and
landscaping.
1
