Owner of record: <br /> Mashpee Commons II LLC. Agent: Zebra Visuals. <br /> Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General <br /> Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a <br /> newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 26, and November <br /> 2, 2012, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. <br /> Public Hearings were held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on <br /> November 14, 2012. The following members of the Board were present and acting <br /> throughout: Jonathan D. Furbush, William A. Blaisdell, James Reiffarth, and Judith M. <br /> Horton. <br /> The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the <br /> provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §9 and the Town of Mashpee <br /> Zoning By-laws. <br /> Mr. Paul Luszcz, owner of Zebra Visuals, represented the Petition. Owners of <br /> Bobby Byrne Management Corporation, Jeffrey Moore and Bobby Byrne were also <br /> present. Bobby Byrne Management Corporation is proposing construction of an 11,600 <br /> square-foot bowling alley with a restaurant/bistro on the northeasterly side of the <br /> building. Plans call for installation of several signs consisting of a main identity sign, <br /> bistro entrance and bowl entrance signs, blade signs, a bowling pin logo icon and two <br /> awnings. The proposed 3-dimensional bowling pin icon will be 83 inches in height and <br /> designed in foam with an internal aluminum armature. Total square footage of the <br /> proposed signage and awnings is 170 square feet. Lighting for the signs includes <br /> goosenecks hanging fiom above, ambient light or low-level perimeter lighting. The <br /> proposal is scheduled for the November 20, 2013 Design Review Committee Agenda. <br /> The Board discussed reducing the size of the bowling pin icon with Mr. Luszcz. <br /> Mr. Jeffrey Moore explained that the proposal is inspired by a vintage industrial look. He <br /> said that the style of the bowling pin icon is displayed in old bowling alleys around the <br /> country. <br />
