Eric Smith explained the difference between Liquor . � <br /> Licenses and Entertainment Licenses. According to Town Counsel, Aim <br /> the burden of proof rests upon the Applicant to prove there is A#V. <br /> no detriment to the Community with regard to a Liquor License; <br /> however, the burden of proof is with the Town to determine the <br /> Applicant is not going to be a detriment to the <br /> Community <br /> with <br /> regard to an Ent rtai ment License. Some of the standards being <br /> public safety, traffic and neighborhood impacts <br /> with regard to �¢ F <br /> regulating Entertainment Licenses . The Town is able to regulate <br /> uses based upon adverse secondary effects adult uses have been fF:. <br /> found to create. � f ' <br /> c21 <br /> Options- Proceed. with "business as usual" Entertainment ,01 <br /> License approach; create an Adult Use zone; regulate distance <br /> requirements from said uses. Eric reported. that he has inquired <br /> of Town Counsel the possibility of regulating Entertainment and <br /> Liquor Licenses by distance. <br /> Dr. Marks: commented on his concern regarding the 130 4$1 <br /> Corporation matter. He commented on the value of community „' <br /> support. He spoke about the issue of zoning and that of taking <br /> other action. He addressed the fact that adult establishments <br /> can be very lucrative, thereby attracting further uses if a zone <br /> is established. He does not support the suggestion of regulating <br /> a footage requirement of 500 feet not far enough) . '? <br /> Jr <br /> Steve Paxton, Juniper Drive: Inquired whether or not thei' <br /> entire Town is currently a zone for adult uses.
