SP-10-43 154 Industrial Drive Registry of Deeds Title Reference: Mashpee, MA 02649 Book: 11377 Page: 084 Assessor's Map 88 Parcel 31 A Petition was filed on October 12, 2010 by Clearwire of Kirkland, Washington for a Modification of a Special Permit (SP-97-70) under Section 174-45.3(J) to allow for co-location onto the existing wireless communication tower site located in an I-1 zoning district at 154 Industrial Drive (Map 88 Parcel 31) Mashpee, MA. Owner of record: SBA Properties, Inc. Notice was duly given to abutters in accordance with Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A. Notice was given by publication in The Mashpee Enterprise, a newspaper of general circulation in the Town of Mashpee, on October 22, and October 29, 2010, a copy of which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. A Public Hearing was held on the Petition at the Mashpee Town Hall on November 10, 2010. The following Board members were present and acting throughout: Board Members Robert G. Nelson, Jonathan Furbush and John M. Dorsey and Associate Board Member Ronald S. Bonvie. The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals issues this Decision pursuant to the provisions of Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 40A §9 and the Town of Mashpee Zoning By-laws. Eric Kallio, Site Acquisition Specialist of Network Building & Consulting, LLC, represented the Petitioner. Clearwire is seeking permission to collocate onto the existing tower on the subject property in order to provide wireless broadband service to the Town of Mashpee. Mr. Kallio submitted photo simulations of the proposal. The proposal calls for installation of three panel antennas along with six lines on the existing tower. The panels will be 42 inches in height, 12 to 18 inches in width, and 3 to 4 inches in depth. A small equipment box will be installed on the ground. There will be no extension of the tower. Mr. Kallio said that Clearwire will make site visits of at least once a month for routine maintenance, which will not cause a significant increase in traffic in the area. Mr. Kallio stated that the proposal has been reviewed by the Cape Cod Commission. ZBA Chairman Robert G. Nelson said that the Petitioner presented the project in extensive detail to the Town's Plan and Design Review Committees. The Board commented that the changes will be minuscule compared to the size of the existing structure. V
