Mashpee Zoning <br />Board of Appeals Minutes <br />1 June 11, 2008 <br />Zoning Board of Appeals <br />Minutes — Wednesday, June 11, 2008 <br />The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held a Public Hearing on <br />Wednesday, June 11, 2008 at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board <br />Members Robert Nelson, Jonathan Furbush, James Reiffarth and . <br />William Blaisdell were present. Alternate Board members Jack Dorsey <br />and Peter Hinden were present. Board Member Zella Elizenberry, <br />were absent. <br />Georee Bezreh: Requests a Variance from Section 174-31 of the Zoning By-laws for <br />relief from the rear -yard setback requirements in order to build a pool on property located <br />in an R-3 zoning district (cluster subdivision) at 97 Surf Drive (Map 103 Parcel 22) <br />.Mashpee, MA. <br />Robert Nelson, Chairman steps down from this hearing since he lives <br />in applicants neighborhood and doesn't want there to be any <br />conflicts. <br />Sitting: Jonathan Furbush, James Reiffarth, William Blaisdell, Peter <br />Hinden and Jack Dorsey. , <br />George Bezreh represents himself at this hearing. He is seeking a rear -yard <br />variance in order to build an above ground pool in his back yard. His property is in a <br />cluxter subdivision and the setback requirement is 20 feet. Mr. Bezreh is looking for a 5 <br />foot variance. Glenn Harrington, Health Agent, indicates on the site plan by note that the <br />septic system is in front of the home and far enough away from the pool. He has no <br />problem with it. Penny Feeney of 15 Surf Drive and President of Seabrook Village <br />Association is present and is in support of the pool. The Board thanks her for her input. <br />Jonathan Furbush indicates the lot coverage is appropriate at 18%; however if the Board <br />were in favor of this he would ask to have a registered land surveyor stake out the pool <br />for proper measurement. The Board sees no problems with the granting of the variance. <br />.lames Reiffarth makes a motion to grant a 5 foot variance in the rearyard. Jonathan <br />• Furbush seconds the motion. All agree.
