*MINUTES CIP COMMITTEE 1-26-2022 APPROVED 2-2-2022* <br /> Fire Chief Thomas Rullo presented the following: <br /> The request to purchase two new vehicles to replace the Fire Inspector's and the Fire Chief's <br /> vehicles at the recommendation of the Town mechanic. The bid was obtained from McGovern, a <br /> company on the state bid list. It was asked if the vehicles would be traded in and the Town Manager <br /> said that it is now the practice to auction the used vehicles. <br /> The SCBA item is to replace a 40 year old system this is equipment that compresses the air into the <br /> air tanks used by the firefighters. The Committee members agreed that this is a very serious item <br /> and a big need for the Department. <br /> There was no more discussion of the Fire Department's requests. <br /> Rodney Collins acknowledged Chief Rullo for his service to the Town as he is retiring in April of this <br /> year. <br /> • Police Department- Total CIP Request$212,000 <br /> Department: Police <br /> Submitted by: Chief Scott Carline <br /> Summary <br /> Prior Funds <br /> Project (Short Title) Appropriated FY2023 FY2024 <br /> Police <br /> 10 Police Vehicles (Year three of three) $ 343,000 $ 156,000 <br /> 4 Police Vehicles (Year two of three) $ 68,400 $ 56,000 $ 56,000 <br /> Total Police $ - $ 212,000 $ <br /> The Police Chief presented the Capital Plan for the Police Department. The requests are for <br /> continuing the lease program and further stated that the items in Fiscal Year 2023, are <br /> commitments made in prior years (ten police vehicles—year three of three; 4 police vehicles year <br /> two of three).There were no questions. <br />
