Mashpee Zoning <br />Board of Appeals Minutes <br />2 June 28, 2006 <br />• Sitting: Robert Nelson, Zella Elizenberry, Marshall Brem, Jonathan Furbush and Eric <br />Dublirer. <br />John Slavinsky of Cape & Islands Engineering represents the applicants at this hearing. <br />They are seeking to demolish their existing dwelling and then build a new dwelling <br />which they are seeking setback relief for. The dwelling is on a corner lot which is <br />burdensome to maintain two frontages, although the new dwelling will basically be <br />where the old one is now. There will be a new septic system installed and this 3 bedroom <br />dwelling will not be more detrimental to the area. Once the dwelling is demolished the <br />lot will not meet the current zoning of 40,000 square feet and applicant will also need a <br />landspace variance. The Board reviews the plans and Marshall Brem moves to grant the <br />special permit. Robert Nelson seconds the motion. All agree. So moved. A roll call vote <br />is taken. Marshall Brem votes yes. Robert Nelson votes yes. Zella Elizenberry votes <br />yes. Jonathan Fubush votes yes. Eric Dublirer votes yes. <br />Marshall Brem moves to grant the following variances: <br />✓ A 27,500 square foot landspace variance <br />✓ 16 foot setback to Ninigret Avenue <br />✓ 7.5 foot setback to Canochet Avenue <br />Robert Nelson seconds the motion. All agree. So moved. A roll call vote is taken. <br />• Marshall Brem votes yes. Robert Nelson votes yes. Zella Elizenberry votes yes. <br />Jonathan Furbush votes yes. Eric Dublirer votes yes. The special permit and variances <br />are conditioned on plans from Cape & Islands Engineering, dated June 12, 2006, plan no. <br />061206, file no. 154ma. <br />OTHER BUSINESS: <br />The Board discusses the articles for the October Warrant. Tom Fudala drafted several <br />articles for the board's comments. The board discussed each article and made comments <br />on the them. Lori Corsi will get them to Tom Fudala in the morning. <br />Interested Applicants: Martin Gordon and George Bolton are present to introduce <br />themselves to the board. They both live in Mashpee are are interested in volunteering for <br />the ZBA. Mr. Nelson invites them to submit letters of interest to the Selectmen's office <br />and then the process will begin for being appointed should they be interested. <br />Zella Elizenberry makes a motion to adjourn. Jonathan Forbush seconds the motion.
