Zoning Board of Appeals <br />Minutes <br />June 27, 2006 <br />Present: Robert Nelson, Zella Elizenberry, Marshall Brem, <br />Jonathan Furbush, James Reiffarth <br />Absent: Frederick Borgeson, Eric Dublirer <br />Attendees: Special Counsel Jason Talerman, Kopelman and Paige, P.C. <br />Douglas Storrs, Mashpee Commons Limited Partnership <br />Charles Rowley, ZBA Engineer <br />Dennis Balzarini, Planning Board <br />Meeting Called to Order by Chairman Nelson at 1:03 p.m. <br />Town Hall, Conference Room #1 <br />APPOINTMENTS AND HEARINGS: <br />Jobs & Whitines Residential Neiehborhoods Affordable Units & Plans: <br />The Zoning Board of Appeals re -convened their meeting to continue <br />• discussions relative to the Jobs & Whitings residential neighborhoods as it <br />relates to affordable units and phasing plans. <br />The Board was in receipt of correspondence from Walter Yarosh, Chair of <br />the Design Review Committee in opposition to the Board's decision to <br />eliminate their review of new buildings from the hearing process. <br />Mr. Storrs was directed to remit to the Board, correspondence regarding <br />the position of Mashpee Water District as it relates to the project proposal. <br />In other business, it was determined the term Mashpee preference would <br />be stated in the application process to offer Mashpee residents precedence <br />to rent and/or to purchase affordable housing units. It was noted the <br />number of units for Mashpee residents has not been established to date. <br />The number, when agreed upon would become a condition of the special <br />permit. <br />
