Mashpee Zoning <br />Board of Appeals Minutes <br />I October 25. 2006 <br />• TOWN OF MASHPEE <br />Zoning Board of Appeals <br />Minutes — Wednesday, October 25, 2006 <br />The Mashpee Zoning Board of Appeals held a Public Hearing on Wednesday; October <br />25; 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Mashpee Town Hall. Board Members Robert Nelson. Zella <br />Elizenberry; Frederick Borgeson; Marshall Brem and Jonathan Forbush were present <br />along with alternate members .lames Reiffarth. Eric Dublirer, and George Bolton. <br />Mr. Nelson brought the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. <br />Zella Elizenberry read the continuances for tonight's hearing. <br />Continued Matters <br />John Miller—Informal Discussion: Mr. Miller would like the Board's <br />imput on a Chamber of Commerce sign that he would like installed at <br />Heritage Park and would like to question the obtaining relief from the 5 foot <br />• setback on the town owned property. <br />Mr. Miller approaches the Board with his plans/request for a new sign at Heritage Park <br />where the Chamber of Commerce will be leasing the old Kids Klub Building. The DPW <br />has plans to put a new sign there as well and they are discussing combining the two signs. <br />The question Mr. Miller has is the buffer and setback from the street/property line. There <br />is a bike path as well as some buffer/grass that should be plenty of room to accommodate <br />the sign and not be too close to the street. The Town of \gashpee owns the land so there <br />is some discussion as to where the authorization should come from. The Board of <br />Selectmen should approve the matter and the ZBA has given Mr. Miller full support for <br />the sign. It is left that Mr. Miller will discuss the matter with the Board of Selectmen and <br />keep us informed. <br />Duck Pond LP: Requests a Special Permit from Section 174-51(B) of the Zoning By- <br />laws in order to install a new sign measuring 4' x 4' identifying a new business <br />"Dream works" on property located in an I -I zoning district at 106 Falmouth Road (Map <br />54 Parcel 5) Mashpee, MA. <br />This matter is continued until November 8, 2006. <br />Pauline Hicks: Requests a Continuance of existing Variances on buildable lots. <br />There is a letter from Attorney Robert Mills who represented the applicant during the <br />• original request for relief to deem 4 lots on Hicks Way buildable.
