Mashpee Zoning
Board of Appeals Minutes
3 March 9, 2005 •
• Lori Corsi, Office Manager, ZBA, explains to the Board that Attorney Mark Gildea had
filed the above petitions in December of 2004. In 1999, the Board granted a special
permit to Attorney Gildea along with variance relief in order to remodel the office
property at 33 Great Neck Road, South. They allowed the permits to expire and have re-
filed for the same permits. Attorney Gildea stated that none of the plans have changed
and went ahead using the old plans. Upon completing the Design Review process, they
told him he must get new and up to date plans. Ms. Corsi attempted to reach Attorney
Gildea several times to see what he planned to do and never returned any of the phone
calls. The Board felt it has been around too long with no response from petitioner and
therefore Mr. Nelson made a motion to deny without prejudice. Frederick Borgeson
seconded the motion. All agree. Denied without prejudice.
There was a response to the Board's request about acquiring new members. Mr. James
Reiffarth has sent a letter of interest to the Board of Selectmen. Mr. Nelson has extended
and invitation to have Mr. Reiffarth come to the next ZBA hearing to watch the process
and then have an interview at the end of the hearing. Lori Corsi will contact him and
make the arrangements.
Mr. Nelson discusses the advisory committee that Mashpee Commons has proposed and
Mr. Nelson sent out a letter to the various departments to have them appoint someone to
represent the particular department at these meetings. Mr.Nelson asked Lori Corsi get in
touch with Jason Talerman from Kopelman and Paige to inform him of what is going on •
• with this advisory committee and get him on board as well.
Fred Borgeson asks the Board and the Building Inspector what is going on with Harwich
Concrete. They discuss the fact that the fence is still not up and Henry Desrosiers, an
abutter from across the street comes in on a weekly basis asking for an update on the
situation. Mr. Stevens has spoken with Attorney Boudreau who represents Chris
Wickstom and he says that the fence has been ordered.but the weather is hindering the
installment of it. Mr. Borgeson feels they made a mistake not taking away their permit
since their good faith effort appears to have gone by the wayside. Mr. Stevens says he
will call Attorney Boudreau again and get a time frame for the installment of the fence.
Lori Corsi asks the Board if they would consider changing the hearing date of April 13'x'
to April 12°i on a Tuesday night because she is going away but wants to attend the
hearing. The Board has no problem with this.
Mr. Guerrera makes a motion to adjourn the meeting. Mr. Borgeson seconds the motion.
All agree. Meeting is adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
R p ctfully submitted,
Lori Corsi
OS Ol ad hZ 5 So •
• \0SW A 1AN\01
33bN '
