Mashpee Zoning
Board of Appeals Minutes
4 March 23, 2005
Sitting: Robert Nelson, Zella Elizenberry, Frederick Borgeson, Richard Guerrera and
Jonathan Furbush
Marc DeNardo represents himself at this hearing. He is seeking a variance from the
setback requirements in order to build a garage. The addition of the garage would bring
his total lot coverage to 15% which is well below the 201/o maximum. The Board reviews
his plot plan and since there are no abutters present with any concerns, Frederick
Borgeson moves to grant a 13.3 foot sideyard variance, a 50 foot frontage variance and a
60,000 square foot landspace variance. Zella Elizneberry seconds the motion. All agree.
So moved. Reference plans from BSS Design of Falmouth, MA, dated December I,
2004, revised December 14, 2004 and revised February 16, 2005, job number 4050.
Other Business:
Frederick Borgeson makes a motion to accept the minutes from March 9, 2005,
Richard Guerrera seconds the motion. All agree. So moved.
Mr. Nelson led the interviews with interested applicants James Reiffarth and Eric
Dublirer. Mr. Nelson would like to thank the Mashpee Enterprise for their
assistance in reaching out to the community for interested parties to come forward
to join the ZBA. Mr. Dublirer introduced himself to the Board and has been a
summer resident of Mashpee since 1980 and a year round resident for the last
three years. He currently is a supplier of Spanish/Mexican food to the east coast.
His business only takes him away for perhaps 2 weeks a year which should not
cause too many absences since as Mr. Nelson impressed, attendance is vitally
important. Next, the Board interviewed Mr. Reiffarth. He was a systems analyst
for many years and has also been on the cape for summers since 1953 and year
round for the last 3 years since retirement. He is concerned about the community
and where it is headed and would like to serve on the ZBA. The Board decides to
recommend the Board of Selectmen approve them as alternates members of the
ZBA and the Board agreed. Lori Corsi will get a letter of recommendation up to
the BOS right away.
Frederick Borgeson makes a motion to adjourn the meeting. Zella Elizenberry seconds
the motion. All agree. Meeting is adjourned at 9:30 p.m.
Respectfully submitted.
Lori Corsi
0
