3 <br />Community Preservation Committee <br />Minutes <br />December 2, 2021 <br />APPOINTMENTS & HEARINGS <br />Finance Director: Update on Financials, Review of Account Balances: (continued) <br />The total Undesignated Balance is $7,601,926.24. Funds from this balance are reserved to <br />pay outstanding debt in the amount of $987,200 from previous Land Bank purchases, and for <br />previously appropriated projects including Administrative & Operational costs amounting to <br />$2,046,959.76 and outstanding purchase orders; $1,346.88. <br />Catherine Laurent, Director of Public Works presented a memo to the Community Preservation <br />Committee dated December 2, 2021 relative to Project Close-outs. The list of projects are <br />deemed complete by the Director with the following open balances; <br />Great River Boat Ramp Reconstruction Project: <br />$116,604.53 <br />Santuit Pond Parking Lot Construction Project: <br />$17,767.30 <br />Attaquin Park Playground Phase II: <br />$31,968.32 <br />Ockway Bay Boat Ramp Phase I and II: <br />$3,559.10 <br />MMHS Tennis/Basketball Court Reconstruction Project: <br />$15,476.64 <br />Pickleball Court Construction Project: <br />$23,464,66 <br />Total: $208,840.55 <br />The return of funding was taken under advisement at this time. The CPC will take formal <br />action to accept the close-out of the CPA projects as referenced and return funding to the <br />respective CPC categories at the next meeting. <br />Catherine Laurent <br />Application: Multi -Purpose Track & Field Stadium Renovation: $1,709,400 <br />Catherine Laurent, Director of Public Works was in attendance with Nicole Bartlett, School <br />Committee Chair to review the proposed Multi -Purpose Track & Field Stadium Renovation <br />project with members of the Community Preservation Committee. Ashley Lopes, Director of <br />Finance was also present for discussion purposes. <br />After meeting with the project architect, the proposed estimate now at the 50% design phase has <br />been modified. However, there is no change to what is requested of the Community Preservation <br />Committee. <br />The total cost of the proposed project is $2,789,400. Of which $1,709,400 is proposed for CPA <br />funding at the May Special Town Meeting. Work proposed under CPA conforms to the <br />mandates of the Community Preservation Act. Additional work in the amount of $1,080,000 is <br />proposed to be funded through the Capital Improvement Program (CIP). <br />
