Mashpee Zoning
Board of Appeals Plymouth Savings Bank
3 Charles Hai aar, Trust
Falmouth Road Trust
V-04-95
entrances and exists and to please work with the Deer Crossing residents to fix this ill-
fated problem. The residents are not opposed to the bank plans as such; they just want
someone to be responsible for the poor traffic flow that currently exists. Since Mr.
Hajjar is on the deed for both the Deer Crossing Complex and the parcel where Plymouth
Savings Bank exists, the problem arises as to who is responsible to correct this problem.
Mr. Brem feels that if the current parking in front of True Value were removed it would
present a hardship for the business of True Value. Mr. Regan feels that this would be the
time to correct the problem. Attorney Kirrane feels the burden should not lie with
Plymouth Savings Bank but with the owner of the complex, which happens to own both
parcels. Mr. Kruger would like to know exactly what the Board is looking for from them
and defers to Attorney Kirrane for clarity. After much discussion between the Board,
Attorney Kirrane and Mr. DiMeco, applicant agrees to provide a detailed parking plan
with some clarification from Mr. Rowley as to the layout that was provided.
There are many people that have businesses in Deer Crossing that feel that the proposed
parking arrangements will be detrimental to their livelihoods. They have the following
comments:
Sally Gold and Paul Gentile: Deer Crossing Condominiums—she would like this
cleared up, the entrance off of Shellback Way was originally paved by Mr. Capizolli and
done without permission. They discuss the safety issues whereby a child was almost hit
by a car backing up. The traffic both in and out of the entryway in front of True Value is
very dangerous.
Charles Lasalla owner, True Value: He mentions to the Board that if the parking is
removed in front of his store, he would suffer financially.
Mark Ducharme, owner of Coastal n Counters: He informs the Board that the
overflow of cars from True Value park in front of his business and this is a problem since
his customers are not just in an out.
